KT&G held a meeting with Uzbekistan’s Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare Committee delegation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — KT&G held a meeting with the delegation from Uzbekistan’s Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Committee to discuss methods for technological training of specialists and potential areas for joint research projects.

In December, the Uzbek delegation visited the Republic of Korea, where representatives from both sides explored opportunities for collaboration in technological infrastructure and analytical technologies. The delegation toured KT&G’s R&D facilities and production plants, gaining deeper insight into the company’s operations and confirming its advanced research infrastructure and technological capabilities. Both parties agreed to continue mutual cooperation based on a friendly partnership.

In August, KT&G and the Committee signed a memorandum of understanding on mutual technological exchanges, aimed at strengthening the company’s research and development capabilities.

KT&G established its office in Uzbekistan in 2023 as part of its strategy to expand into the Eurasian market with its flagship brand ESSE. The company is also opening offices in Russia and other Eurasian countries, creating new jobs and stimulating local economies while pursuing mutual growth.

As of 2023, KT&G operates globally with 5,184 employees and sells 717 brands in 143 countries, including Uzbekistan.
