Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Jahongir Aminov has been appointed as the new Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Israel, the Israeli Ambassador to Tashkent Zehavit Ben-Hillel said.
After graduating from the Faculty of International Economic Relations of the Samarkand Cooperative Institute (now the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service), he worked in his specialty in the Samarkand and Kashkadarya regions, in the city of Tashkent.
Since 2000, he has been working in the system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including in the central office and embassies of Uzbekistan in Israel and Azerbaijan. Until now, he worked as the head of the Department for Bilateral and Multilateral Cooperation with the CIS Countries.
Jahongir Aminov replaced Feruza Makhmudova, who headed the Embassy in 2020-2023.
