On 18 July, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On measures to radically improve tax administration, increase collection of taxes and other mandatory payments”.

The new Inspectorate will identify and ensure mobilization of reserves to increase budget revenues based on the analysis and assessment of the taxation system, tax and customs administration.

The Inspectorate will analyze the level of collection of tax and customs payments in the context of types of taxes and regions, identify factors that have affected its decline in the sectoral and territorial context.

The new structure will assess the objectivity and reasonableness of the forecast of income indicators of the State Budget, taking into account the peculiarities and tax potential of the regions.

The Inspectorate will take measures to increase the responsibility and full assistance to the financial and tax authorities in the qualitative formation and implementation of the revenue forecast, expansion of the taxable base, ensuring the completeness of tax collection and taxpayer accounting.
