In the reporting period, consumer goods were produced for 6.657 trillion soums (+12.3% compared to January-June 2010), of which food products were for 2.946 trillion soums (+13.7%) and non-food products – for 3.712 trillion soums (+11.1%).
Fuel industry (17.4% of total industrial output), machinery and metal processing (15.4%), light industry (14.4%) and food industry (13.7%) accounted largest share in total industrial production of Uzbekistan in the reporting period.
At the same time, the share of fuel industry fell by 2.2 percentage point year-on-year, machinery and metal processing – 0.4 percentage point. Share of light industry grew by 0.2 percentage points and food industry by 1.4 percentage points, the committee said.
In particular, fuel industry produced goods for 3.636 trillion soums (+0.3), machinery and metal processing – 2.973 trillion soums (+11.1%), light industry – 2.768 trillion soums (+4.6%) and food industry – 2.635 trillion soums (+13.8%).
