French Embassy in Uzbekistan said that Dordogne Department received 160,000 euros from Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of France for development of cooperation with Shahrisabz city and implementation of project on attracting attention to heritage of Amir Timur dynasty.
The sides will develop programme of exchanges and methods of preservation and reconstruction of monuments, including Aq-Saray, located in Shahrisabz and included to UNESCO World Heritage List.
Dordogne Department holds leading position among departments on historic monuments and objects, including to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
It is expected that issued financial resources will help to develop fruitful cooperation between two administrative units, which has been started in 2007.
