Expert commission created in Uzbekistan to improve tax system
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An expert commission on improving the tax system has been established in Uzbekistan.

On 27 July, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed an order on formation of the expert commission on further improving the tax system of the republic.

The commission will study an international practice of taxation and develop proposals on bringing the tax system of the republic in line with adopted in the developed countries of the world, understandable for foreign investors and encouraging them to invest in the economy of Uzbekistan.

The new structure will systematically monitor implementation of the tax policy and identify shortcomings and bottlenecks, and develop specific proposals for optimizing the tax system.

The commission will study influence of the existing level of tax burden on performance indicators of business entities, financial stability of enterprises, state of mutual settlements in the economy, dynamics of receivables and payables, and preparation of relevant proposals.

The commission will analyze the practice of tax administration and prepare proposals for its simplification, wide introduction of information and communication technologies, full transition to contactless electronic servicing of taxpayers.

The expert commission was given the right to attract specialists from ministries, departments, economic associations and organizations, as well as independent experts, including foreign experts.

Members of the commission will visit foreign countries to study best international practices in taxation and develop appropriate proposals for its implementation in Uzbekistan.
