Expansion of Uzbek-Lithuanian trade and economic cooperation discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 April, an Uzbek-Lithuanian business forum and business negotiations in the B2B format were held with the participation of business circles of the two countries, the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry reported.

The event was organized jointly with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Lithuania in order to further expand the Uzbek-Lithuanian trade, economic and investment cooperation.

The opening remarks were made by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lithuania Gintautas Vasiulis, Vice Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania Julius Skachkauskas, and Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jasurbek Choriyev.

The event was attended by representatives of state bodies, national companies and business circles of the two countries, in particular, entrepreneurs engaged in business in the fields of transport, logistics, food, customs and furniture.

Within the framework of the forum, the heads of business associations and companies of Uzbekistan and Lithuania made presentations in which promising projects were presented in priority areas of the economies of the two countries.

In their speeches, the speakers noted the significant potential in the development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Lithuania.

The participants expressed their commitment to further strengthening economic cooperation and establishing strong business contacts, as well as providing comprehensive support to entrepreneurs in the implementation of joint projects and initiatives.

At the end of the event, "B2B" negotiations were held, during which the parties exchanged business proposals on the activation of mutual trade and the development of logistics, which is designed to bring cooperation between the two countries to a new level of practical interaction.
