On 13 October 2017 the annual meetings of the Board of Governors of the IMF and the World Bank Group started in Washington (the United States).
The delegation of Uzbekistan includes Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Kuchkarov, Chairman of the Central Bank Mamarizo Nurmuratov and Executive Director of the Fund for Reconstruction and Development Shukhrat Vafayev.
The meeting participants will discuss a wide range of issues related to poverty reduction, international economic development and financial activities.
The program envisages hearings of reports on performance of the Bank and the IMF, as well as identify specific targets for the near future.
The delegation of Uzbekistan plans to hold a number of bilateral meetings and negotiations with the leadership of international financial institutions, high representatives of financial institutions of IMF member countries and the World Bank.
Within the visit, the Uzbek delegation also signed the Framework Agreement with the European Investment Bank.
