Avtostat agency said that Daewoo, produced mainly in Uzbekistan, in January-June 2011 imported 44,100 automobiles to Russia, which grew 1.5 times year-on-year.

Toyota led on the volume of imported cars to Russia in the first half of 2011. Toyota imported 51,300 cars to Russia, which grew twice year-on-year.

Nissan (42,200 cars), Mitsubishi (33,000) and Kia (27,900) followed GM Uzbekistan on the volume of imported cars to Russia.

There were imported 441,400 of passenger cars totally in Russia for the first half of 2011 and it was more by 84.2% year-on-year (239,600 cars).
