Condor Energies Raises Uzbekistan Gas Output to 14,000 bpd

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Condor Energies, a Canadian energy company, has exceeded 14,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day in April 2026 at its gas fields in Uzbekistan, marking a corporate record, according to its first-quarter financial report.

The milestone was achieved following the connection of a new horizontal well, Kumli-46, to the gas gathering system.

The Kumli-46 well recorded a peak flow rate of 18.3 million standard cubic feet of gas per day, equivalent to 3,050 barrels of oil equivalent. However, the operator limited production to manage high flow velocities in the gas pipeline system.

In May, the company’s average production in Uzbekistan stands at 14,042 barrels of oil equivalent per day, including 13,622 barrels of gas and 420 barrels of condensate.

First-quarter 2026 production reached 11,832 barrels of oil equivalent per day, up 12.3% compared to the fourth quarter of the previous year. Natural gas accounted for 11,477 barrels of equivalent per day, while condensate contributed 355 barrels per day.

Revenue from gas and condensate sales in Uzbekistan totaled C$22.56 million for January–April, an increase of 10.7% compared to the previous quarter.

Condor Energies began drilling its fourth horizontal well, Kumli-47, in April. It has already reached a depth of 3,444 meters, with a horizontal section of 1,118 meters. The well has encountered the same dolomitized carbonate reservoir as Kumli-46, indicating consistent geological results. Completion and testing are expected in the near term.

The company has contracted a second drilling rig, which is scheduled to begin operations in the third quarter of 2026. Condor plans to drill up to 12 wells this year to accelerate production growth, with more than 50 potential drilling locations already identified.

Condor Energies has completed the tender process for the first phase of a gas compression system at its Uzbekistan fields, with a contract expected in the second quarter of 2026. The system is designed to boost production by lowering gathering system pressure and managing fluctuations in pipeline pressure. An independent engineering firm estimates production gains of more than 20 million standard cubic feet per day from compression.

The company operates in Uzbekistan under a production enhancement contract with Uzbekneftegaz across a cluster of eight conventional gas-condensate fields covering 282 square kilometers and 74 active wells, primarily producing from a Jurassic carbonate reservoir.

Beyond Uzbekistan, Condor Energies has completed manufacturing of its first LNG production unit for the Saryozek project in Kazakhstan. The equipment is undergoing final acceptance testing ahead of shipment scheduled for September 2026. The unit has a designed capacity of 48,000 gallons of LNG per day.

The company has received three gas allocations in Kazakhstan for modular LNG plants, with total potential output equivalent to 1.5 million liters of diesel per day and an estimated annual reduction of 390,000 tons of CO₂ emissions.

In April 2026, Condor Energies completed a public share offering worth C$29.9 million at C$2.60 per common share. Net proceeds will be used to further develop gas fields in Uzbekistan, including the compression system installation, and for general corporate purposes.
