Cadila Pharmaceuticals Explores Opportunities in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held at the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry of Uzbekistan with the participation of Vice President for International Operations of Cadila Pharmaceuticals Limited, Jeevagan Gnanasekaran.

Cadila Pharmaceuticals Limited, founded in 1950, is a major international pharmaceutical company specializing in the development, production, and export of medicinal products. The company manufactures a wide range of therapeutic drugs and is present in numerous global markets.

During the talks, the sides discussed prospects for establishing modern production facilities within Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical clusters.

Special attention was given to issues of technology transfer, increasing the level of production localization, and the implementation of joint projects.

The participants were also briefed on ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical sector aimed at improving the investment climate, introducing international quality standards, and creating favorable conditions for foreign investors.
