Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Kashkadarya region, in the village of Soybuyi in Shakarteri mahalla of Shakhrisabz district, two Tien Shan brown bear cubs, listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan, were spotted.

In this regard, an operational working group was formed consisting of employees of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, the Kashkadarya Regional Department of Ecology, the Shakhrisabz District Department of Internal Affairs, the National Guard, the Tashkent Zoo and the Gissar Nature Reserve.

As a result of prompt measures taken by the working group that arrived at the scene, the cubs were euthanized using special weapons.

The cubs were taken without injuries to the Tankhoz section of the river in the Gissar State Nature Reserve.
