AeroSvit starts to sell tickets to Samarkand flights
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- AeroSvit – Ukrainian airlines started to sell tickets to flights from Kiev to Samarkand, the second largest city of Uzbekistan.

The airline said that it launched air communication from Ukrainian capital to one of ancient cities of the world on 5 July 2011. The flights will be conducted on Tuesdays. The fight duration is 4.5 hours.

AeroSvit – Ukrainian airlines said that the flight will takeoff from Kiev on Tuesday at 01:05 and arrives in Samarkand at 07:30 local time. Return flight will takeoff at 09:00 and arrives in Kiev at 12:00.

It is expected that new direction will serve both direct and transit passenger flow. The airline said that it can deliver passengers to Samarkand from administrative centers of Ukraine – Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Lvov, Odessa, Simferopol and Kharkov, and others.

Samarkand became the second city of Uzbekistan, where AeroSvit flies. In October 2011, largest Ukrainian airline started to carry out flights between Kiev and Tashkent. In summer navigation, AeroSvit flights to Uzbek capital twice a week.

AeroSvit is one of the largest passenger airline companies in Ukraine. It presently operates on more than 50 international routes. AeroSvit has in its operation 13 Boeings 737, and three Boeings 767.

AeroSvit is owned by Dutch Gilward Investments B.V. (38%), State Property Fund of Ukraine (22.4%), GenAvia-Invest (24.99%), Investment Advisors Group (9.8%) and Byuro (4.8%).
