Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Nurata district of Navoi region of Uzbekistan, a project is being implemented to create a walnut plantation with an area of 200 hectares, the total investment in which is estimated at US$500,000, EastFruit experts report.

The administration of Nurata district approved the initiative of the company with foreign capital LLC "Angora agro industrial" to create a large walnut plantation. The founder of this company is an investor from Turkiye. According to preliminary estimates, the total investment in this project will amount to US$500,000. According to this source, we are talking about laying a walnut plantation with a white core and thin skin.

“In order to create a walnut plantation, we studied the composition and condition of the soil on a territory with a total area of 1.5 thousand hectares. In the end, we chose a plot of 200 hectares, and this season we plan to plant 50,000 seedlings on this plot,” explained Turkish investor Musayid Fatin.

We remind you that at the end of January 2023, EastFruit wrote about the implementation in the same district of Navoi region of Uzbekistan of a large project for growing lavender and rose hips on plantations with a total area of 500 hectares, followed by processing to obtain oils from them. The total cost of this project is estimated at US$2.5 million.

The implementation of the project, initiated by the FHH garden flower company, is carried out in two stages. The first of these includes work to improve the fertility of the land, install an irrigation system, and plant plantations of lavender and wild rose. 

The second stage includes the construction, installation and launch of lines for the production of lavender and rosehip oils. The company plans to produce 25,000 liters of lavender and rosehip oil per year. All manufactured products will be exported.
