A delegation of Kyrgyzstan visits a number of textile enterprises of Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic - Head of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov and members of the government delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic, who are on a working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited the enterprises Global Textile, Fazman Textile, "Art Soft Holdings" and "Iftihor Kiyim Sanoat", located in the Fergana and Namangan regions.

During his acquaintance with the Global Textile factory, Akylbek Japarov noted that light industry is one of the dynamically developing sectors of the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic.

“Given this, the experience gained by the Republic of Uzbekistan in attracting investments and modern technological solutions to textile production is extremely important for us. We also need to develop, attracting global brands with which you are already actively and successfully cooperating with our long-term customers,” the Head of the Cabinet of Ministers noted.

It should be noted that the textile enterprise "Global Textile", launched in 2018, is one of the leading textile enterprises in the Republic of Uzbekistan, engaged in the production of yarn and knitted fabrics of world quality.

Then the Head of the Cabinet of Ministers and members of the Kyrgyz delegation got acquainted with the work of the textile enterprise, which is part of Art Soft Holdings and Fazman Textile, and also examined the construction site of the new production complex of the Iftihor Kiyim Sanoat enterprise, which is one of the leaders among manufacturers of men's clothes in the republic (under the ADIM brand).

Akylbek Japarov noted the importance of international certification of the quality of products manufactured by light industry enterprises.

“The state and our entrepreneurs should pay close attention to this aspect. Modern quality laboratories with the necessary software should become a mandatory working attribute for all enterprises intending to export their products to other countries,” he stated.

It should be noted that following the agreements reached between the Presidents of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan at the beginning of 2023, an agreement was signed on cooperation to create textile production in the Jalal-Abad region of the Kyrgyz Republic.

In this context, the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund will provide funding in the amount of $16 million for the construction of a textile enterprise corresponding to the Fazman Textile level, which will be located in the Nooken district of the Jalal-Abad region.

For reference: The Fazman Textile textile factory, which opened at the end of 2022, can produce up to 1 million units of finished products per year - men's, women's and children's suits. The export volume is estimated at 15 million US dollars annually.
