Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25 October, on the second day of the ICT Week, which is being held in the new international tourist center of Samarkand Silk Road Samarkand, a meeting was held between the Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov, Director of IT Park Uzbekistan Farkhod Ibragimov and CEO of ZTE Uzbekistan Wang Guangdong.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the development of the BPO industry in Uzbekistan. The dialogue participants noted the prospects for the development of the BPO-direction and agreed on the implementation of joint projects in this area.

Thus, within the framework of the meeting, a protocol was signed between IT Park and ZTE Uzbekistan, in line with which ZTE will issue US$100,000 to support and open new BPO centers in Samarkand and Ferghana.

BPO-centers will be equipped with the necessary equipment and machinery. In addition, new jobs will be created in Samarkand and Ferghana thanks to new institutions.
