Zorya-Mashproekt delivers engines to Uzbekstan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Gas Turbine Research & Production Complex Zorya-Mashproekt (Ukraine) delivered two engines DU80 with the capacity of 25 megawatt each to Gazli compressing station in Uzbekistan. The equipment should solve problem with shortage of capacities due to growth of gas exports and pumping increased volume of fuel.

The Ukrainian company said that it received order from Uzbektransgaz in November and after re-scheduling short-term supply plans on long-term contracts, the Ukrainian firm successfully implemented the Uzbek order.

Yuriy Sultansky, director on marketing of Zorya-Mashproekt, said that the enterprise produced engines for December 2011 and January 2012 in November and this allowed to take new contract from Uzbekistan. He said that usually it takes up to 12 months to produce engine and existing reserve helped to fulfill emergency order from Uzbekistan.

Uzbektransgaz has experience use of DU80 with the capacity of 25 megawatt and DG90 with the capacity of 19 megawatt. Equipments of the Ukrainian firms are successfully used at gas transportation network of Uzbekistan.

Ukrainian firm said that for the first time it used aircrafts to deliver engines to the site. Currently, the Ukrainian specialists are assembling engines. At the end of 2011, both of engines will be commissioned.
