Newly appointed Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Russia Ziyadulla Pulatkhodjaev handed over copies of credentials to the State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Grigory Karasin on 15 April.

After the ceremony, the sides considered several issues, including situation in Central Asia and Kyrgyz Republic.

The sides exchanged opinion on preparation to upcoming official visit of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov to Russia on 19-20 April 2010.

Ziyadulla Pulatkhodjaev replaced at this post Ilkhom Nematov, which in his turn headed the Uzbekistan’s embassy in the USA.

Prior to appointment, Ziyadulla Pulatkhodjaev worked as Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyz Republic.
