Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The First Lady of Uzbekistan, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva, visited several museums in Qatar.

In particular, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva explored the National Museum of Qatar and the Museum of Islamic Art.

The Qatari National Museum was opened in 2019. It showcases the history of the State of Qatar, the customs and traditions of the Qatari people, as well as information about Islamic monuments in the country. Visitors can also learn about the nature of the Persian Gulf and the life of various rare animals inhabiting it.

A special place among the landmarks of Qatar is occupied by the Museum of Islamic Art.

The museum is located on an artificial island off the coast of Doha and consists of 5 floors. It was inaugurated in 2008.

This museum serves as a symbolic expression of the diversity of traditional culture and the richness of Islamic art. It presents objects of Islamic art that existed in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East from the 7th to the 19th century. The museum also houses a library, a lecture hall for 200 people, a restoration laboratory, and several presentation halls.

Another notable aspect: this museum also houses a copy of a page from the Quran brought from Samarkand.
