Construction of high voltage line with extension of 218 km is one of large investment projects in power industry in Uzbekistan. Its implementation will allow to improve reliability of power system of Uzbekistan and decrease losses at electricity transportation, abolish limits to supply electricity to Samarkand-Bukhara electricity knot, ensure power supply to new consumers.
It is worth to note that it is not the first tender, in which YuAIZ won. Tatyana Samarets, director on sales in CIS states of Global Insulator Group, said that the products of the plant are highly demanded in Russia and CIS and meets all standards.
GIF and YuAIZ pay special attention to strengthen its leading positions in Uzbekistan. The sides started active goods supply in 2005. Among large projects are high voltage line 500 kilovolt Syrdarya-Sogdiana (240 km) and Guzar-Surkhan (220 km)
The sum of the last contract, won within tender, is about US$4 million. Tatyana Samarets said Russian and Chinese companies also participated at the tender. The goods supplies will be completed in August 2012.
