Young musicians give concert to mark Uzbekistan’s independence
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A concert of Youth Symphonic Orchestra dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence was held at the Grand Hall of National Specialized Musical Academic Lyceum named after Uspenskiy on 20 May 2011.

The event was organized by Fund Forum, Public Education Ministry of Uzbekistan and Ministry of higher and secondary special education of Uzbekistan. Prize-winners of international competitions, young directors Ivan Denisenko and Nilufar Muhiddinova were main persons on the scene.

Masterly performance of young musicians was greeted with cheers by the audience, including parents, relatives, guests and mass media.

The concert programme included works of foreign and local composers like O. Abdullaeva, H. Rakhimov, Georges Bizet, Jules Massene, Michel Jean Legrand, Nikkolo Paganini and others.

For the first time, the concert united two music directions – folk and symphonic. Student of the lyceum Numon Nazrullaev showed his skills on kashgar rubab. Nodira Dadamuhamedova (piano), Dinora Shohiddinova (violin), Iskander Mamadaliev and Ilkhom Muhiddinov represented classic music.
