Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Yangi Uzbekistan massif in Karakul district.

There has never been such large-scale construction in this area before. After the free economic zone “Karakul” was created in accordance with the decree of the head of state of 13 August 2021, the industry began to develop rapidly. Thousands of people will be employed in the local factories in the future, including specialists from other regions of the country. For their convenience and to create decent living conditions for their families, a new residential area is being built near the economic zone.

The project consists of two stages and provides for the construction of 71 multi-storey buildings with 1,380 apartments, educational and medical institutions, a makhalla center and service facilities.

Currently, at the first stage, 12 multi-storey buildings, a school, a kindergarten and a clinic have been put into operation.

Here the head of state talked with representatives of the makhalla.

– In the mahalla, where the “seven” thinks and acts as a single team, there will be neither unemployment nor crime. She has enough powers to do this. It is necessary to attract responsible organizations and help people earn money. It is important to be aware of the quality of education in schools and to guide graduates towards obtaining higher education and acquiring a profession in demand,” the President said.

Instructions were given regarding the improvement of the territory and roadside areas. In the future, a park and swimming pools will be organized on the territory of the massif. Vacant areas will be planted with trees and turned into alleys.
