Yangi Avlod Festival selection rounds start
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 18 October to 12 November, Uzbekistan regions will host selection rounds of Yangi Avlod (New generation) Children’s Creativity Festival, organized annually by the Fund Forum. Over 23,000 children aged 6 to 14 have submitted applications for participation this year.

During selection rounds nominees demonstrates their musical program, pieces of art and poetic creativity to competent jury. Selection rounds in all cities are open to public, fans and simply to general public.

Yangi Avlod Children’s Creativity Festival is designed to reveal young talents, further development of their talent in musical and fine arts, support of their creative potential as well as have a successful start to the grand art while performing on the same stage with celebrities. The festival has become a significant model in identifying and further developing the talent of gifted children in Uzbekistan.

Children’s creative teams and solo performers from 6 to 14 years participate in the festival in such areas as classical music, vocal, national instruments, dance, fine and applied arts, poetry, literature and theatrical scenario. For six years about 50 thousand children from all regions of Uzbekistan have attended the Festival. About 2000 of them became winners. The Laureates of the Festival receive a further support of the Foundation, which facilitates their participation in international festivals and programs.

The Festival became a basis for opening of the Children’s Creativity Centers in Tashkent and Samarkand. In this Centers more than 2000 children study in such fields as computer literacy, acting, painting, needlework, singing, dancing, chess and others. The Festival has opened new prospects for its participants and winners. Owing to the winners supporting program, latter receive grants and further support of the Foundation, particularly in their participation in international programs and festivals.
