Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Users in Uzbekistan can now take advantage of the updated functionality of Yandex Maps, where not only the interface, names of organizations, and geographical objects, but also voice navigation are available in the Uzbek language for more convenient car travel.

According to the company, the monthly audience of Yandex Maps in Uzbekistan exceeds 2.8 million people, having increased by 50% over the past year. The update is available for both iOS and Android, and Uzbek voice navigation makes the service more comfortable for local drivers, allowing them to follow routes without needing to look at their phone screens. These features are also available in the Yandex Navi app.

Izzat Shukurov, head of Yandex Uzbekistan, emphasized: "Our goal is to offer the residents of Uzbekistan the most convenient navigation app. Voice navigation is now available not only in Russian but also in Uzbek, bringing us closer to achieving our goal."

To change the language in the app, users need to update it to the latest version, go to profile settings, select “Map and Interface” — “Language” — “O’zbekcha.” To change the voice navigation language, users should select “Sounds and Alerts” — “Voice Language” — “Uzbek.”

Yandex Uzbekistan, operating in the country since 2018, is introducing new technologies to improve daily life and the digital environment, offering various services including taxi, food delivery, cloud technology, and educational projects.

Yandex Maps is a navigation app that helps users build routes for walking and traveling by any mode of transport, as well as finding places and solving other daily tasks.
