Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the near future, a special tariff with electric vehicles in taxis will become available for the first time in Tashkent within the Yandex Go service.
Going forward, the company plans to increase the number of partners using electric vehicles to support the development of sustainable urban environments.
The tariff will include cars from the brands BYD, Dongfeng, Hongqi, etc. At first, Yandex Go plans to connect more than 1,000 cars to the service.
“Electric cars have a high level of comfort - they are modern and operate quietly. At the same time, they are economical to operate, lower fuel consumption and costs, which is beneficial for drivers. For the urban environment, the use of electric vehicles, including in taxis, helps reduce noise in the city and reduce emissions,” said Kirill Svintsov, development director of Yandex Taxi in the CIS.
The company believes that supporting such initiatives will not only help improve the quality of life in cities, but also stimulate growth in demand for electric vehicles and the development of related infrastructure.
