Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 26 November, the Central Asian Conference on Tourism, organized by the World Federation of Tourism Cities with the support of the Samarkand Region Khokimiyat and the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, began at the Palace of Youth Union of Samarkand.

The theme of the conference is cooperation and tourism development called “One Belt One Way”.

The conference is attended by representatives of tourist cities from more than ten countries of the world, as well as leaders of the World Organization of Tourist Cities, representatives of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the leadership of the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the leadership of the Samarkand region.

From the private sector there are representatives of the tourism industry from several regions of Uzbekistan and China. In the second half of the event, meetings were held within the framework of B2B and G2B, to which representatives of tour companies were invited for further cooperation.

Tomorrow, on 27 November, there will be sections on the theme of “The market of outbound tourism in China and cooperation in the field of tourism, as well as a section on the theme of“ Investing in tourism and regional development”.
