World Cup: Uzbekistan judo team wins three medals

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan judo team claimed three medals in the first day of the World Cup on judo among women and men, which is taking place in Tashkent.

Mirali Sharipov won the first gold medal for Uzbekistan in the weight category of 73 kg, defeating all his opponents.

In the weight category of 60 kg, Gamis Esimbetov lost in final bout to Kazakhstan’s Eldos Smetov and won silver medal.

Mirzahid Farmanov clinched bronze medal in the weight category of 66 kg, outplaying Tarlan Karimov from Azerbaijan.
