World Cup: Uruguay beats England

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uruguay claimed a 2-1 victory over England in the Group D match of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil.

Uruguay striker Luiz Suarez recorded a brace, netting on 39 and 84 minutes of the match. Wayne Rooney scored only goal of England and his first goal in finals of the World Cups on 75 minutes.

In the result, Uruguay kept their hopes alive to advance from the group, while England needs to win Costa Rica and hope that Italy beat Costa Rica and Uruguay to qualify to next round.
