The Netherlands pulled off a staggering late comeback to beat Mexico 2-1 in the last 16 match of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil and advanced to quarterfinals.
The sides could not score in the first half. In the start of the second half, Giovani Dos Santos netted a goal from stunning 20 meter shot.
The Netherlands scored an equalizer on 88 minutes. Wesley Sneijder’s powerful shot after corner kick helped the Dutch equalize the score.
In the added time, Robben earned a penalty. Klaas Jan Huntelaar slotted the spot kick home to seal a shocking win.
