Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The third meeting of the interdepartmental working group to support the digitalization of agricultural and food statistics was held at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The meeting was attended by heads and specialists of relevant departments, the Agency for Statistics, the ASK Facility program, the International Center for Strategic Development and Promotion in the field of food and agriculture.

The event considered the draft work plan of the interdepartmental working group for 2023. There was also a presentation by an expert on agri-food statistics invited by the ASK Facility of the European Union, as well as the challenges and proposals related to the development of a number of new information systems.

Foreign expert Peter Pauli shared his experience and views on the formation and analysis of accurate statistical data in agriculture and highly appreciated the developments in the field of digitalization, and also provided recommendations on errors in the processes of summarizing and analyzing data from various departments.

The following issues were discussed at the meeting:

development of information systems;

collection of reliable information from the regions;

analysis and organization of open access in the interests of different categories of users;

testing systems as a pilot project and others.

As a result of the meeting, further plans and tasks to be implemented by the working group were determined.
