Woodcarving studio of Sirojiddin Rakhmatullaev to be opened in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A woodcarving studio of Sirojiddin Rakhmatullaev “Uymakor” will be opened in Uzbekistan on 22 August 2013.

Fund Forum and “Ijod” Association of artists, art critics and craftsmen of Uzbekistan are conducting several projects on preserving and developing traditional types of craftsmanship.

Among these projects are two studios, which will be soon created under the “Ijod” Association – studio on production of art china named after Sh. Muminova and woodcarving studio “Uymakor” of Sirojiddin Rakhmatullaev.

Tashkent school of woodcarving has its own place in craftsmanship of Uzbekistan and it is continuing to develop. Ortiq Fayzullaev and his students are contributing to development of woodcarving art. Sirojiddin Rakhmatullaev is his student, who already is teaching woodcarving to youngsters.

Works of Sirojiddin Rakhmatullaev exhibited both in Uzbekistan and abroad for a long time. His students work on decoration of largest architectural buildings across Uzbekistan.

In particular, they worked at such construction of such buildings as Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, Imam Al-Bukhari, Naqshbandi Complex, Shahidlar Hiyoboni, Uzbekistan International Forums Palace, Marifat Markazi, and others.

Sirojiddin Rakhmatullaev with his students is working in Amir Temur Mahalla of Zangiata district in Tashkent region. The new studio will be also created here.
