The winner of the stage will represent Tashkent in national competition, which will take place on 19 December 2011.

The competition is directed at raising role of women in public life of Uzbekistan and it is aimed at stimulating and supporting women of the region.

Women’s Council collected applications from 1 August to 1 November 2011. Any women, independently from their age, profession or hobby, could apply. The competition is held in three stages – accepting applications, qualification round and national final.

The regional stages were held from 17 November to 12 December. Over 30,000 applications were received to the competition and after qualification round only one woman qualified to finals from each region.

The final stage will be held in Tashkent on 19 December and 14 women will participate at this stage. The jury will determine “Woman of the Year” and the winner will get a prize. Other participants will receive gifts from project organizer, Women’s Council, and sponsors.
