Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A video message appeared on social media reporting that hungry wolves were roaming in the village of Kirkkiyazabad, located in the Pskent district of Tashkent region. The district administration’s press service commented on this information.
Kirkkiyazabad is situated in a mountainous area, and every winter, particularly in snowy conditions, wild animals, including wolves, enter populated areas, the administration explained.
"Since this morning, a special team has been sent to the area to capture the wild animals. Currently, efforts are underway to locate and neutralize the wolves," the statement said.
The captured wolves will be sent to the zoo, where conditions similar to their natural habitat will be created. The district administration emphasized that no damage has been caused to local residents so far.
