WIUT provides preferences to youth with one-year military service
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Military service is a school of physical and moral tempering of youth where solid life principles and high-quality patriotic feelings are formed. Given the need to further strengthen the material, moral and spiritual incentives and expand learning opportunities for young people in international higher education institutions, there are number of measures carried out in the country on social support of those who served their military service in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) also provides such support to youth with one-year military service in the army. The University offers additional 5 scholarships (free study at WIUT), apart from annual 20 scholarships, to those who completed one-year military service in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan

In case of large number of applicants for scholarships WIUT will select five entrants with the best results, while others will be provided with a 45% (10% from WIUT and 35% from "Kamolot") discount of the amount of contract basis education.

In addition, students of other universities who have completed military service earlier may also take entrance exams to continue their studies at WIUT (starting from the 2nd year) on contract basis with a 45% discount.

Applicants applying for the above benefits will be required to take IELTS (English language) and an examination in mathematics at the Westminster International University in Tashkent in accordance with the established procedures. As a further support, WIUT will provide discounts for its pre-university preparatory courses.
