Willy Weldens is circus performer who is famous well beyond France. Representing the fourth generation of artists, Willy Weldens has worked to preserve his family’s traditions since he was a boy: he learned to ride a motorcycle earlier than a common bicycle.
At 7, he took up acrobatics, which he tried to master under his parents’ tutelage. He credits his father with teaching him a unique trick – a head balance on a carafe glass, which stands on top of a frail-looking pyramid consisting of two rows of wineglasses. It took Willy years of rehearsal to master the daredevil trick and gain the mass of muscle that would enable him to balance his body while positioned upside down. His Tashkent show is titled "Just a man", in which he will demonstrate what a human body is able to do.
In addition, Willy’s arsenal includes tricks such as unicycle riding, juggling, dog training, acrobatics, stilt walking, fire, which are also themes of his visual performances. Weldens is an artist of great talent and a frequent guest to TV shows such as “Le Plus Grand Cabaret Du Monde” (The biggest cabaret in the world) on France 2 television channel.
