Willy Weldens to perform at Tashkent Circus
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan’s maiden charitable program for children from orphanages, low-income families and those in need of social support will feature a French acrobat and juggler Willy Weldens who will perform on 5 June at Tashkent Circus.

Tickets are distributed free of charge. The charitable event has been organized by the Fund Forum and Victor Hugo French Cultural Center.

Willy Weldens is circus performer who is famous well beyond France. Representing the fourth generation of artists, Willy Weldens has worked to preserve his family’s traditions since he was a boy: he learned to ride a motorcycle earlier than a common bicycle.

At 7, he took up acrobatics, which he tried to master under his parents’ tutelage. He credits his father with teaching him a unique trick – a head balance on a carafe glass, which stands on top of a frail-looking pyramid consisting of two rows of wineglasses. It took Willy years of rehearsal to master the daredevil trick and gain the mass of muscle that would enable him to balance his body while positioned upside down. His Tashkent show is titled "Just a man", in which he will demonstrate what a human body is able to do.

In addition, Willy’s arsenal includes tricks such as unicycle riding, juggling, dog training, acrobatics, stilt walking, fire, which are also themes of his visual performances. Weldens is an artist of great talent and a frequent guest to TV shows such as “Le Plus Grand Cabaret Du Monde” (The biggest cabaret in the world) on France 2 television channel.
