Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Wildberries international platform expands cooperation with local businesses in Uzbekistan and launches the first logistics facility in the country.

The first Wildberries sorting center began its work in Tashkent region, its area is 1,122 sq. m.

Now entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan can sell their goods on the online platform using the Marketplace model (from sellers’ own warehouses).

They receive real-time information about orders and deliver goods to the sorting center, from where they are sent to customers. In addition, the logistics facility also sorts out orders entering the country and their subsequent transportation to the points of issue of orders. The number of pickup points in Uzbekistan continues to grow and today is 57 points.

The opening of the new Wildberries center will allow representatives of the Uzbek business to enter the online segment, reduce their own logistics costs and expand the range of their products on the marketplace.

The total number of local sellers from Uzbekistan registered on the platform is 196. In April 2023. sales of products manufactured in Uzbekistan increased by 79% year-on-year, and the most popular local goods were: clothes and underwear, household goods and products, dishes and equipment, as well as sportswear and clothes for babies.

“We hope that the appearance of the first logistics facility in the country will accelerate the further development of cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan and will increase the speed of delivery of orders to residents of the country. We plan to further expand cooperation with the country’s small businesses and develop the logistics direction,” the Wildberries press service commented.
