Wi-Fi is organized at Tashkent metro stations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Now, Tashkent city residents can use the Internet in Wi-Fi zones, created at metro stations, the press service of the Tashkent city administration said.

Metro stations “Pakhtakor” and “Alisher Navoi” are providing Wi-Fi services to the passengers. At these stations, more than 20 Wi-Fi spots are located.

According to the data, over 500 users connect to the Wi-Fi network while waiting for trains at these stations.

According to Metrotelekom TM, users can visit the media portal and watch TV, listen to music, read books online, as well as download everything they need.

At the first stage, the 90 km long fiber optic cables will be routed to 29 stations of the Tashkent Metro. By March of this year, Wi-Fi will be available at all these stations.
