Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Head of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated that many countries are now experiencing an increase in the number of cases of respiratory diseases caused by COVID-19, TASS reports.
The Director General of the WHO Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus recommends not to abandon the use of protective masks and vaccination against COVID-19 and influenza due to the increase in incidence in many countries.
“Continue to use masks, ventilate rooms, maintain social distance to reduce the risk of infection. Also make sure you and your loved ones are vaccinated against COVID-19 and flu,” Ghebreyesus wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
According to the head of the organization, "for weeks, many countries have seen an increase in the number of cases of respiratory diseases caused by COVID-19 and other pathogens."
WHO believes this trend will continue for some time.
