Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers approved the Regulations on the State Social Protection Fund under the National Social Protection Agency, Norma reports.

Under the National Social Protection Agency, by Presidential Decree No. UP-82 \, the State Social Protection Fund was established.

The main areas of spending the Fund’s resources:

organization of social services in boarding houses “Muruvvat” and “Sakhovat”, sanatoriums and boarding houses for the elderly, persons with disabilities, war and labor veterans;

providing the population with prosthetic and orthopedic products and technical means of rehabilitation;

providing preferential and free inpatient treatment for persons with disabilities;

providing persons with disabilities with educational, didactic and other alternative materials;

providing housing for orphans;

organizing and improving the activities of Mehribonlik homes and orphanages;

financing services for the provision of social and legal assistance to minors, etc.

The document also envisages the creation of a state institution “Information Technology Center” under the National Social Protection Agency. The Center is entrusted with the following tasks:

development and monitoring of information programs;

maintenance of servers, computer equipment and telecommunication networks;

introduction of modern information and communication technologies into the Agency’s system;

organization of Call Center activities.
