At the second round qualifying matches played today at the Olympic Tennis Centre second seeded Yuliana Fedak of Ukraine fended off a late second set challenge from Russian Aminat Kushkhova prevailing 6-3,7-6(4) to make it to the final round.

Eighth seeded Belarusian Tatiana Poutchek, Sixth seeded Kseina Palkina of Kyrgyzstan, Third seeded Greek Erini Georgatou, seventh seeded Elena Kulikova of Russia and fifth seeded Zarina Diyas of Kazakhstan scored one sided wins to make it to the final round of the qualifying. Four players will make it to the main draw which begins tomorrow.
