This activity is funded by the Japan PHRD- WBI Capacity Development Grant. The training will target Uzbek professionals in the human development sector (education and health) projects in Uzbekistan. Training will include two courses for mid-level professionals in government, NGOs, and research/training institutes.

A three-day course for education sector participants will be delivered from December 10 to 12, 2009, and another three-day session will be delivered for health sector participants from 14 to 16 December 2009.

Each course introduces an overview of basic monitoring and evaluation approaches and methods including creating a logic model, determining indicators and measurements, research designs, data collection, data analysis methods, reporting and management of M&E functions.

Each course will use a case study (education focused for the first session, and health focused for the second) and hands-on exercises to enhance participants’ practical application skills.
