Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In January-July 2018, according to preliminary data, the volume of rendered market services in Uzbekistan was 78.66 trillion soums, which is 33.2% higher compared to the same period in 2017.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, transport services (30.1%), trade services (27.5%), financial services (14.0%), communication and information services (6.9%) prevail in the structure of rendered market services.
In January-July 2018, growth was noted in such areas as architecture, engineering surveys, technical testing and analysis (36.0%), financial services (33.2%), communication and information services 16.9%), health services (14.7%).
For comparison, in January-July 2017, the growth rate of services in the field of architecture, engineering survey, technical testing and analysis was 7.2%, financial services - 35.1%, communication and information services - 16.3%, services in the sphere healthcare - 14.6%.
The leading place in the total volume of transport services is occupied by services rendered by motor transport (48.7%). Pipeline transportation services accounted for 18.6% of total transport services.
The services rendered by railway transport, in the total volume of transport services, occupied 14.3%.
The share of services for transportation of goods and passengers by air was 11.0% of the total volume of transport services. The auxiliary transport activity occupies 7.4% of the total volume of transport services.
In the structure of services provided by road transport, the largest share falls to Tashkent city (16.7%), Tashkent (13.7%) and Samarkand (11.8%) regions. The lowest indicators were recorded in Syrdarya (1.6%), Jizzakh (2.6%), Navoi (2.8%) and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (3.3%).
The growth of financial services was observed in Surkhandarya (+ 47.4%), Jizzakh (+ 47.3%), Navoi (+ 41.5%) and Tashkent (+ 35.8%).
The lowest growth rates for financial services, compared to other regions, were recorded in Khorezm (+ 12.9%), Bukhara (+ 18.8%), Andijan (+ 25.2%), Kashkadarya (+ 25.8%), Ferghana (+ 26%) regions.
In the total volume of financial services, their share prevail, except for insurance services and pensions (88.5%). The largest part in financial services, except for insurance and pension services, is the services for mediation in the monetary sphere (96.6%).
Among the regions, Syrdarya (91.3%), Surkhandarya (91.1%) and Samarkand (91.0%) hold the largest share in financial services, except for insurance and pensions. The lowest indicator was registered in Bukhara region (84.8%).
Continuation of reforms in the field of education, innovative approaches to teaching methods allowed to increase the volume of education services - 2.21 trillion soums, the growth rate, compared with the corresponding period last year, was 7.9%.
Among the regions, the largest share in education services in the total volume of education services is observed in Tashkent (42.2%), Fergana (7.9%), Samarkand (7.7%), Andijan (7.0%) %) areas. The lowest indicators were recorded in the Syrdarya (1.6%), Navoi (2.4%), Jizzakh (2.5%), Khorezm (2.9%) regions.
In the volume of services for accommodation and meals, services for the provision of food and beverage products prevail (83.2%). The share of accommodation services accounted for 16.8%.
The share of food and beverage services in the total volume of this type of services in Tashkent was 39.3%. Also, the largest weight loss in the region was observed in Tashkent (11.1%) and Bukhara (7.1%) oblasts.
Among the regions, the largest volume is in Tashkent city (25.23 trillion soums), Tashkent region (5.91 trillion soums). The smallest volume is observed in Syrdarya (1.02 trillion soums), Jizzakh (1.68 trillion soums) regions.
In January-July 2018, compared with the same period last year, the highest growth rates were registered in Tashkent city (+ 13.3%), Navoi (+ 12.4%), Jizzakh (+ 12.0%), Surkhandarya (+ 8.4%) regions.
Low growth rates were observed in Tashkent (+ 4.0%), Khorezm (+ 5.8%), Bukhara (6.1%), Namangan (+ 6.2%), Fergana (6.3%), Kashkadarya (+ 6.4%) regions.
Among the regions, the largest share was registered in Tashkent city for financial services (55.9%), communication and information services (49.4%). However, trade services account for only 32.1%. In Tashkent region, a high indicator for trade services (9.0%), financial services (5.7%) is observed, and for communication and information services this indicator is small - 2.8%.
Currently, 205,800 organizations and enterprises are involved in the service sector. The share of organizations and services in the total number of organizations and enterprises was 66.5%.
