Volume of paid services, rendered to Uzbek population, grows by 13.1% in January
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of paid services, rendered to population of Uzbekistan, made up 611.9 billion soums in January 2011, which is up by 13.1% year-on-year, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

The committee said that the growth of paid services was recorded in all regions of Uzbekistan. Navoi region registered the highest growth (19%) of paid services in the reporting period.

The significant growth of paid services was also observed in Karakalpakstan Republic (17.9%) and Ferghana region (16.9%) in January 2011.

The committee underlined that Syrdarya region (10.3%), Khorezm region (10.4%) and Jizzakh region (11.1%) recorded the smallest growth rate in the reporting period.

Tashkent city (201.3 billion soums), Ferghana region (45.2 billion soums) and Samarkand region (44 billion soums) were leaders on the volume of paid services in monetary terms.

The lowest volume of paid services was recorded in Syrdarya region (7.7 billion soums) and Jizzakh region (16.3 billion soums), as well as Karakalpakstan Republic (16.7 billion soums).
