Vitebsk and Kashkadarya regions plan to organize info tours to enhance cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Vitebsk and Kashkadarya regions plan to organize joint information tours. This format of interaction was proposed by Deputy Khokim Alisher Zakirov at a meeting with Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin at the site of the XI International Economic Forum “Innovations. Investments. Prospects”, BelTA informs.

This will allow us to get to know each other better and give impetus to the development of contacts in tourism and other areas, Alisher Zakirov is sure. The program of info tours can be formed taking into account the wishes of the two parties, while including not only tourist destinations, but also a business program, connecting representatives of the business community to exchange trips. “It's one thing when you see some things on paper, and quite another when you arrive at a place and feel the positive aura and warmth of the people you communicate with. This greatly influences decision-making,” said Alisher Zakirov.

In addition, a number of proposals for cooperation appeared after getting acquainted with the exposition sites of Vitebsk enterprises at the International Economic Forum. “Today I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that the production of baby food is developing well in the Vitebsk region. This is a very interesting area of interaction that can be studied and discussed, since in Uzbekistan, under the program of the head of state, it is planned to introduce free meals in schools,” said the deputy khokim.

Also, within the framework of the forum, a representative of Uzbekistan visited the opening of a new production unit of UE "Polymerconstruction", which produces water purification and water treatment systems. “We are actively building New Uzbekistan residential areas. Multi-storey buildings are built mainly in rural areas, and not everywhere there are drainage systems. So the topic of developing wastewater systems is very relevant for us,” Alisher Zakirov shared.

According to Anzhelika Nikitina, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, the flax industry is one of the most promising areas of cooperation. Vitebsk region is ready to assist in providing varieties that can be grown in Uzbekistan. These proposals are prepared by the specialists of RUE "Institute of Flax". In addition, options for cooperation in woodworking are being actively explored, in particular for the manufacture of individual wooden houses, furniture, including for educational institutions in the Kashkadarya region. Agreements were reached on the supply of meat and dairy products to partners from Uzbekistan.

The regions signed an agreement on cooperation in the trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian fields in October 2022. This gave impetus to the development of contacts in the educational field, launched the process of exchanging delegations and developing mutually beneficial economic projects.
