Visit Uzbekistan organizes an art tour in Khiva

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 4 to 6 December, Khiva hosted the second art tour organized by Visit Uzbekistan magazine, together with the Khokimiyat of the Khorezm region and partners. Expats, representatives of international organizations and the diplomatic corps took part in the three-day trip.

At the Urgench airport, guests were greeted in the best national traditions with karnay-surnay and Khorezm bread, charging the guests with an excellent mood.

The peculiarity of traveling with Visit Uzbekistan is that it is not a standard sightseeing visit, but every day is filled with experiences - that is, immersion in the culture, art, lifestyle and history of the chosen region. The route of the exclusive tour of Ichan-Kala, for example, also included a visit to the workshops of Khiva artisans, where guests became participants in the process of creating the famous sheepskin hats - Chugurma, got acquainted with the intricacies of woodcarving and the art of the Khiva puppet theater. Acquaintance with Khorezm cuisine was accompanied by master classes on cooking Tukhum-Barak, Shvit-Oshi, and baking Khiva flat cakes. During dinner in a real old house of local residents, one could also get lessons on the basics of the Khorezm lazgi dance.

The first art tour was organized by Visit Uzbekistan took place in Bukhara from 9 to 11 November and collected many positive reviews. Since its inception, eight presentations have been held on the basis of the Visit Uzbekistan Partnership business club magazine, including in Singapore, London, Delhi, Tashkent and Bukhara, and the presentation in Khiva has become the ninth.

In 2020, Visit Uzbekistan magazine began to pay more attention to the promotion of domestic tourism and devote special issues to one of the regions of Uzbekistan. In particular, the 25th issue of Visit Uzbekistan was dedicated to Tashkent, the 26th - to Bukhara and collected on its pages, and then during the presentation, creative personalities and creators of creative businesses.
