Internet users can also receive information on activity of Samarkand observatoty, constructed in the 15th century by Mirzo Ulugbek.
Virtual museum of Mirzo Ulugbek is located at ulugbekobservatory.parusinfo.com. The project was created by Samarkand Museum of Mirzo Ulugbek in cooperation of Tashkent publishing company SMI-Aziya. Desht-i-Art Laboratory Center and Hivos Fund (the Netherlands) rendered support to the project.
The website is working in English, Uzbek and Russian languages. This is one of the first virtual musuems of Uzbekistan in 3D format.
The project authors are planning to hand over DVD discs of virtual museum to educational establishments, which can be used at education process. The discs will be also realized through the museum.
