Ambassador handed over copy of credential letters, addressed to the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, the press service of the Uzbek ministry said.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged opinion on the Uzbek-Vietnamese cooperation. The sides expressed interest in boosting relations on bilateral and multilateral levels, including within the UN and other international institutes. In this context, the sides considering cooperation of Uzbekistan within the ASEAN as development partner as perspective direction.

The sides also exchanged issues of mutual beneficial partnership in trade-economic and investment sectors, tourism and education.
