Menkov showed 3:51.721 to clinch gold medal of World Championships. Hungary’s Attila Vajda was the second with 3:51.921 and Germany’s Sebastian Brendel took the third place with 3:53.837.
With the win, Vadim Menkov became two-time World Champion. In 2009, Vadim Menkov claimed gold medal of World Championships with the time 3:55.947.
On 22 August, Menkov also participated in men’s C1 500m competitions. He showed 3:51.721 and won bronze medal.
