Vadim Abramov says “we do not choose opponents”

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan national team head coach Vadim Abramov commented decision of FIFA to disqualify Syria from the third round of 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and reinstate Tajikistan in competition.

Vadim Abramov said: “It is not principle issue for us to play against Syria or Tajikistan. We should focus on each game at this stage.”

He added that only advantage to play against Tajikistan is travel distance, otherwise everything remains the same. “I am sure that each team will do its best to achieve positive result.”

Uzbekistan will face against Tajikistan on 2 September 2011. The match will start at 16:30 Tashkent time.
