Uztemiryulcontainer Opens Logistics Hub in Lanzhou and Signs New Cooperation Agreements
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — JSC Uztemiryulcontainer is strengthening its strategic partnership with China’s Gansu Province by officially opening a consolidation hub in the city of Lanzhou.
On 8 July 2025, during a working visit to China, Chairman of the Board of Uztemiryulcontainer M.K. Mirkhamidov held talks with Zhang Yong, Director of the Gansu Provincial Department of Commerce.
The discussions focused on expanding bilateral cooperation, particularly on increasing the volume of rail freight transport, enhancing transit potential, and developing joint measures to stimulate cargo flows along the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan corridor, with access to broader Central Asian markets.
Mr. Zhang confirmed Gansu’s readiness to extend subsidies for this transport route, creating favorable conditions for the stable growth of logistics chains passing through the province.
As part of the International Logistics and Trade Forum, Uztemiryulcontainer celebrated the grand opening of its new consolidation hub located in the Lanzhou Free Economic Zone. Developed in partnership with Gansu International Logistics Group, the new facility will handle the aggregation of cargo for clients and its subsequent dispatch toward Central Asia.
To further strengthen its presence in China and develop multimodal transportation, Uztemiryulcontainer signed several memoranda of cooperation with Chinese logistics companies. These agreements pave the way for more efficient, cost-effective, and competitive transport solutions in the region.
